One of three fireplaces uncovered in the Roosevelt Room during the renovation of the historic Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs. Norman Bacheldor, general contractor and part owner, says through research he has done, there were originally around 180 fireplaces in the hotel.

Longleaf yellow pine floors in the Taft Room were one of the gems found during the renovation of the historic Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs. Hotel officials believe the wood used for the floor was 100 to 200 years old when installed 126 years ago, possibly making the wood more than 300 years old.
