The Durango Dharma Center will host a daylong retreat with Dave Smith, meditation teacher and addiction treatment specialist, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 24.
During the past two decades, many people have experienced success integrating mindfulness and Buddhism into their process of recovery from all forms of addictive behaviors.
What can Buddhism offer to those who struggle with addiction? How can mindfulness be used in recovery programs? Smith will explore these questions and offer multiple perspectives and practices that support the process of recovery.
The day will include guided meditations and opportunities for group sharing.
