Ever wish you could transform your life?
Author, and comedian Kyle Cease will bring his “Comedy Meets Transformation,” hosted by True Success For All, on Sunday to the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College. Cease’s daylong event is a mixture of laughter and transformation geared to get you thinking.
“What’s so powerful about this experience is that not only is it fun, it’s that Kyle helps people,” said Maureen Fallon-Cyr, co-director of True Success For All.
Fallon-Cyr, who is co-director with her husband, Mark, said Cease uses two themes in his presentation: “You are not your story” and exploring the “deep down.”
“People get caught up and limited by the stories they’re carrying. He helps you, through laughter and kindness, unwind that to where you see you’re not your story,” she said. “Whatever story you bring that’s defining your life, that’s not who you are; you’re so much more than that.
And then there’s the deep down.
“He’ll often ask this beautiful question, which is, ‘Have you ever heard yourself say even though things are really terrible right now, deep down, I know it’s going to be OK?’ And so he’ll ask the question, ‘Have you asked what ‘deep down’ is? Have you ever looked at that?’” Fallon-Cyr said.
Tickets cost $93 to $148.
