M-H Builders earns master designations
Mantell-Hecathorn Builders Inc. announces owner Greg Mantell-Hecathorn and superintendant Hunter Mantell-Hecathorn have earned their Master Certified Green Professional educational designations from the National Association of Home Builders.
They join a group of homebuilders and remodelers who are experts in the field of sustainable construction. Greg and Hunter are two of 16 builders in the country and the first Colorado builders currently holding this designation.
A master certified green professional must have at least five years of green-building experience and have built or remodeled and certified at least three projects in a three-year period to be eligible for the designation. In addition, potential designees must complete seven days of training on green building and business management as well as advanced courses that focus on green-building science and project management.

Business workshop to be held Thursday
The Small Business Development Center at Fort Lewis College will offer the Starting Your Business Workshop from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Tuition is $25 for the general public and $20 for Chamber of Commerce members. Space is limited.
