Durango library to hold womens health series
The Durango Public Library will begin its Womens Health Lecture Series from 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 17 at the library, 1900 East Third Ave., with Hormone Balancing 101: Breaking the PMS Cycle.
Julie Gwyther, nationally certified acupuncturist from Durango Community Acupuncture, will explain how diet and lifestyle choices influence how people feel emotionally and physically. Participants will find out what changes can be made.
The series will run from August to Nov. 16.

Headaches talk to be held Thursday
Chiropractic wellness coach Robert Fitts will present a Breaking Free From Your Headaches workshop Tuesday at Shambhala Chiropractic Center, 117-C County Road 250.
Participants will learn how to detect and eliminate headaches, discover how poor posture and tight muscles will affect health, and how constant medication can create rebound headaches.

Pediatric Associates offers free classes
Pediatric Associates of Durango, 1199 Main Ave., Suite 205, will hold free classes once a month:
Childrens yoga class for children ages 3 to 7 years will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10. The class will be instructed by Katie Walsh.
Infant massage class for parents and children ages 2 to 6 months will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 15. The class will be instructed by Nicole Johnson.
