The Durango Melodrama & Vaudeville
“After Dark” by Dion Boucicault shows on even nights; “The Pursuit of Happiness” by Lawrence and Armina Marhshall Langner shows on odd nights. Show times are 7:45 p.m. nightly except Monday. Tonight’s performance of “After Dark” is a benefit for Mountain Middle School. Ticket booth and shops open at 5:30 p.m.; supper is served at 7:30 sharp and the show ends by 9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $21 (beef or chicken) or $33 (steak), kids $10. The Durango Arts Center presents a comedy by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard, directed by Terry Swan, 802 East Second Ave. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Sept. 10. Friday’s show is a benefit for the La Plata County Humane Society. Tickets cost $20 for general admission, $18 for DAC members and group rates are available.
