Durango anglers set to head to Alaska for salmon run

Coloradans have many misconceptions about the coveted fish
Eric Macias’ fishing boat, the Silver Wave , harvests the fish at the end of the king salmon run. From mid-June to mid-September, the crew tries to catch as many as possible with their 15,000-foot long and 100-foot deep net.
Eric Macias is the skipper of the Silver Wave and co-owner of the boat-to-table salmon busines that shares the same name as the boat.
The salmon that Silver Wave catches is sold in Southwest Colorado as frozen fillets and in cans.
