Recently, the Southwest district of the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children was presented a check by Martha McClellan. This donation was on behalf of Jeff and Elizabeth Katz. Jeff and Elizabeth have been leaders in the community connecting business to early childhood in La Plata County since 2007.
The check was donated because of SW-CAEYCs work to put together the Week of the Young Child. This weeklong community event is held every April and includes various activities for children younger than 8 as well as a very special evening for early childhood providers. The district would like to thank Jeff and Elizabeth for their generous donation.
