I’m responding to Eileen Wright’s letter (“Liberalism and homeless: coincidence?”, June 6).
Homelessness is not a political issue.
Try to think logically.
Most cities are more liberal than small towns.
Homeless people are going to go to cities rather than the countryside simply because there are more people and resources.
Mesa, Arizona is by some measurements the most conservative city in America and they have roughly 3,200 homeless people.
It’s a complicated issue and many people are working to find solutions to the problem.
It sounds like Eileen Wright has a better solution and I think she should share it with our city leaders.
