The League of Women Voters of La Plata County will sponsor a four-session series: The Water Crisis at Home and Abroad.
The sessions will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Sept. 13, 20 and 27 in Program Room 2 at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
The series will focus on the growing scarcity of water, both in this region and globally. Dennis Lum, a professor emeritus at Fort Lewis College, will moderate the discussions. Admission is free.
