Lifestyle Homes, 27015 U.S. Highway 160, announces the addition of Steve Evans to its staff.

Nancy Lauro earns green certification
Nancy D. Lauro, a land planning consultant with Russell Planning and Engineering Inc., recently became the second Russell employee to earn the Green Building Certification Institutes new Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Associate designation.
Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED-rating system is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. A LEED Green Associate has demonstrated the knowledge and skill needed to understand and support green design, construction and operations.
A candidate must have experience in the form of documented involvement on a LEED-registered project, employment in a sustainable field of work, or completion of an education program that addresses green building principles.

Heart Safe announces promotion, addition
Heart Safe La Plata, a nonprofit public access defibrillation group, announces that Patty Egger has been promoted to vice president. Egger is a native of Durango and has spent the majority of her career in the medical industry serving Southwest Colorado.
She is an experienced and certified emergency medical technician and currently works for Durango Fire & Rescue Authority. Egger has been a committee member for local nonprofits such as Durango Fiesta, Elk Foundation and Durango Ski Joring.
Kathleen Morris also has accepted a board position with Heart Safe La Plata. As regional safe schools coordinator for the San Juan Board of Cooperative Educational Services, she has more than eight years of experience in the school safety field. She currently serves nine public schools within the five counties of Southwest Colorado. Morris serves as a director on the Colorado School District Self Insurance Board.

Financial risk focus of Durango seminar
Swan Wealth Advisors Inc., a registered Durango investment advisory firm with more than $100 million in assets, is holding its second annual Investment Conference from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the Assay House, 277 East Third Ave.
