Resident looks for a fix for home’s failing service

After a Verizon technician finally visited and recommended trying an after-market booster, Maria Tuxhorn for a few days could once again make cellphone calls from her home north of Mancos. But as of 3 p.m. Tuesday, she began receiving a “Network Unavailable” message on her phone.
