Sunrise therapist attends training
Rick Stockwell, physical therapist at Sunrise Physical Therapy, attended a three-day training about Tension Releasing Exercises.
David Berceli developed these as a way of releasing stress, tension and trauma as a result of difficult life circumstances, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences. These exercises have been used successfully for recovery from chronic stress or post-tension symptoms.
Tension Releasing is a set of six exercises that help to release deep tension by evoking a self-controlled muscular shaking process in the body called neurogenic muscle tremors. These gentle tremors reverberate outward along the spine, releasing tension from the sacrum to the cranium.
Stockwell specializes in the treatment of chronic, difficult-to-treat musculoskeletal problems and stress- and anxiety-related disorders using a variety of techniques.
