An art exhibit and silent auction featuring the works of students from the Durango High School National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is currently on display at Durango Public Library.
A reception honoring the students and their work will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Works are on display outside of the program rooms on the first floor until Nov. 30. Highest bidders in the silent auction will be contacted following the show.
The NAHS program inspires and recognizes students who show an outstanding ability and interest in art. The NAHS aids members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character and service, and raises awareness of the importance of art education in schools and communities.
