Bicycle maintenance clinic scheduled todayMountain Bike Specialists will host a free maintenance clinic from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. today at its store at 949 Main Ave.
Topics to be covered include care and cleaning of your bike, lubing the chain and fixing flats.

Women's golf association opens season next weekThe Hillcrest Women's Golf Association will open its season Tuesday.
There will be an opening dinner at the clubhouse Monday. Drinks will be at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m.
The cost to register for this season is $35. Dinner is $8.
Individuals can register for the dinner and the next day's golf at the clubhouse by calling 247-1499. Newcomers are invited.

Colorado Peace Ride to host benefit dinnerThe Colorado Peace Ride, a four-day, 238-mile bicycle tour along the San Juan Scenic Byway, is hosting a benefit from 5 to 9 p.m. May 16 at the Sophia Peace Center in Dolores.
There will be live music, a cash bar, tours of the Sophia Peace Center and its labyrinth and a silent and live auction.
The cost is $35 per person and $60 per couple. All proceeds will benefit the Colorado Peace Ride, which will begin and end in Durango, and local non-profit causes.

Softball camp set for mid-June at CortezMesa State College will sponsor a Softball Camp on June 13-14 at the Cortez Softball Complex. The camp will be hosted by Southwest Softball Association with coach Chris Mort and coach Cindy Cohn from Mesa State leading the camp.
Girls ages 8-18 are invited to attend. Cost is $75. The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
There will be a separate pitching and catching clinic from 3:30 to 5 p.m. for a cost of $25.
Registration is limited to the first 60 girls.
