Free cooking class to be at Family Center
The six-week course will meet every Wednesday and will focus on cooking on a budget, safe food handling, as well as recipes for nutritious meals. Call to enroll. There is limited space. Free child care is available, and participants will be able to take groceries home after every class.

Camino underpass to be discussed
The purpose of the plan is to determine appropriate access locations and movements to U.S. Highway 550.
The purpose of the study is to determine the appropriate location for the bicycle and pedestrian underpass crossing of Camino del Rio linking downtown Durango to the Animas River Trail.

Fifteen soldiers injured while serving the country will be recognized at 9 a.m. June 1 at the Springs Resort, 245 Hot Springs Blvd. Colors will be presented by the American Legion Post No. 108. The public is invited.
