Christian Science to hold worship service
The Christian Science Church, 1166 East Third Ave., will hold a Thanksgiving worship service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 24.

Har Shalom to host Womens Movie Night
Womens Movie Night will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Congregation Har Shalom, 2537 County Road 203.
A Durango woman who had a double mastectomy instead of betting against an 85 percent chance that shed contract breast cancer will discuss her decision and show a documentary film In the Family about the options for women facing a similar gamble.
The film explores the history of several families, including that of writer, director and producer Joanna Rudnick, and how they dealt with hereditary cancer.
Participants may bring movie snacks and participate in a dessert potluck.

A special Cowboy Social will follow the contemporary worship service at 5 p.m. today. Western music will be provided by Joyful Noise.
A worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday will be followed by an annual meeting and a Thanksgiving potluck meal.
Centers of Light to show documentary
Centers of Light will present Conscious Movie Night with a showing of Bag It at 7 p.m. Friday at the Sophia Peace Center, 19581 Road 31, Dolores.
All donations will support Roots and Shoots, a Jane Goodall Institute program, about making positive change happen for communities, animals and the environment. Bag It is a documentary about plastic bags that evolved into an investigation into plastics and their effect on waterways, oceans and humans.
