Best bets this weekend include the Frozen Foot Fiesta and “Disaster!”
The Frozen Foot Fiesta will take place Friday and Saturday in Pagosa Springs.
Festivities will begin with the puzzle party contest at 6 p.m. Friday at The Springs Resort. The fourth annual Fat Bike Race, hosted by DUST2 and the Wolf Creek Trail Blazers, will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday on Forest Service Road 725 on Wolf Creek Pass, also known as Old Wolf Creek Road. There will be a 4.5-mile and a 10-mile course.
Fat bike race registration will open at 8 a.m., and the race will begin at 9 a.m. There will be hot beverages and free cinnamon rolls for all participants, and all participants will receive a free one-day pass to the hot springs.
After the bike race, a 5K snowshoe race will be held at noon at the Pagosa Springs Community Center, 451 Hot Springs Blvd. Other outdoors activities, such as a snowball throw, obstacle course and snowman contest, will be offered. The awards and after-party will be held at 4 p.m. at the Mother Spring Patio.

HHHFour Corners Musical Theatre Company will present “Disaster! A ’70s Disaster Movie Musical” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday at the Farmington Civic Center, 211 W. Arrington St.
“Disaster!” delivers earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and unforgettable ’70s hits like “Knock on Wood,” “Hooked on a Feeling,” “Sky High,” “I Am Woman” and “Hot Stuff.” It’s 1979, and New York’s hottest A-listers are lining up for the opening of a floating casino and discotheque. What begins as a night of boogie fever quickly turns to panic as the ship succumbs to multiple disasters.
