Fort Lewis College gets solid split with Colorado Christian

At home at Aspen Field on the Fort Lewis College campus for the first time this season, Taylor Beaman and the Skyhawks slid to a doubleheader split against Colorado Christian. McKenna Hefley hit a walk-off two-run home run in Game 1 to give FLC (10-10, 7-3 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) a 3-1 victory behind the pitching of Mandy Lorenson. In Game 2, the first-place Cougars (19-6, 9-1 RMAC) stormed to a 13-2 victory. The two teams will meet again at 10 a.m. and noon Saturday in Durango.
