Decisions, decisions, what’s a person to do? Should the 32nd Street bridge be built or are we better off spending the money on a river trail extension to the thousands of people who live in Three Springs?
In our national elections, are we to support candidates whose priories align with powerful entities and the status quo or do we vote for those who look ahead, want climate change solutions and updated thinking?
One thing’s for sure, we will never inspire deep thought if we don’t join the conversation. We live in precarious times when the opportunity to retain a livable healthy planet is in jeopardy. We must not allow cynicism and negativity to rule the day and acknowledge that throughout history, people who joined together have done amazing things.
If we don’t show up at the polls and vote, if we abstain and give government a pass, then the will of the people will never be actively acknowledged in Washington as well as in local government.
Please, let’s do our homework, know the issues and the candidates, and when we are done with that let’s all vote!
