Imagine the pressure of playing party planner for the birth of Jesus Christ.
Thats essentially what young, wannabe angel Neville is faced with in the Durango Lively Arts Companys holiday production Hark the Neville Angel Sings. The play, which was written by Durangos own Wendy Ludgewait with original and traditional music by Wade Stallings, opened last weekend and will continue for the next two weeks.
Its a twist on the Nativity scene story as Neville must earn his wings by spreading the news of Jesus upcoming birth.
The local cast is comprised of actors ages 6 to 76, and the play is the Arts Centers family-friendly holiday offering. Its the early show Friday and Saturday, not to be confused with The Eight: Reindeer Monologues. Well have more on that Friday, but suffice to say if you bring the young uns to the wrong show, the holidays just wont be the same.
