La Plata Electric Association has postponed its annual meeting, originally slated for May 16 in Pagosa Springs, but it will hold a virtual meeting May 16 to elect new members to its board of directors.
The annual meeting has been postponed because of restrictions, including banning meetings of 10 people or more, put in place to slow the spread of COVID-19
A virtual meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. May 16 to elect and seat new directors.
In addition to director election announcements, LPEA employees and LPEA board President Bob Lynch will answer previously submitted questions from members.
Members are encouraged to join the meeting virtually and can submit questions to firstname.lastname@example.org by 4 p.m. May 15.
Because of time limitations, not all questions will be answered during the meeting.
Submitted questions with answers will also be posted to the LPEA website at the conclusion of the meeting.
For more details, and for access instructions, visit lpea.coop/annual-meeting.
Because the meeting will be held virtually, there is no option this year for members to submit their ballots for the LPEA director election on the day of the meeting. Ballots must be received, either by mail (using the postage paid envelope provided in the election packet) or at a listed drop-box location, by 4 p.m. Friday, May 15.

Mail-in ballots went out April 16.
