Christmas performance to be offered Sunday
First Southern Baptist Church, 1715 West Second Ave., is inviting the public to attend its worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday for a special Christmas presentation by the church choir and musicians.
Pagan groups to hold solstice celebration
The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans will host its first Yule/Winter Solstice Celebration and potluck from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, 419 San Juan Drive.
The night will include the lighting of the Yule log and the cewlebration of the days growing longer.
Children are welcome. A donation of a nonperishable food item for the food bank is requested.

Blue Christmas service to be held Tuesday
St. Marks Episcopal Church will host a non-denominational Blue Christmas service at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 910 East Third Ave.
Blue Christmas services help attendees confrontfeelings of grief and loss during the holidays.

Heart of the Rockies to host Christmas service
Heart of the Rockies Fellowship will have a Christmas Eve service from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Dec. 24 at the Animas Valley Elementary School, 373 Hermosa Meadows Road.
Dress will be casual and everyone is invited. The fellowship will not have its regular Sunday morning service on Dec. 25 but will have an outreach service at 11 a.m. Sunday at a place to be announced.
Centers of Light to have seminar today
Centers of Light will present the seminar A Mystical Interpretation of the Christmas Story at 2 p.m. today at the Durango Dharma Center, 2530 Colorado Ave.
