Registered dietitian receives certification
Registered Dietitian Jenny Pritchard was recently awarded a Certificate of Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management by the American Dietetic Association.
This training provides the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate and treat overweight and obese youth and design obesity-prevention programs. Pritchard works at the Durango School District 9-R as the health-education coordinator and works on a variety of health and wellness initiatives, including nutrition counseling for students through the School Based Health Centers.
Tax Planning 101 presentation to be held
Tax Planning 101 will be the topic of the January Lunch and Learn at noon Jan. 25 at First National Bank of Durango, 259 W. Ninth St.
The workshop will be presented by Brad A. Tafoya of Tafoya Barrett & Associates. The cost is $7 for Durango Chamber of Commerce members and $14 for nonmembers. Participants will learn the tips, tricks and tools needed to save money and simplify tax reporting. Reservations are required.

Business After Hours to celebrate Snowdown
Business After Hours will present Once Upon a Snowdown from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 1 in the DoubleTree Hotel Ballroom, 501 Camino del Rio.
