Durango’s Raquel Delgado, Emily McCue and Abby Surmeier played a strong zone defense that forced Tess Skoe and the Montrose Indians to shoot from the outside, which they did to beat the Demons 49-45.
Raquel Delgado had a career night for Durango, scoring a team-high 14 points by driving hard into the paint and knocking down layups and foul shots in the Demons’ 49-45 loss to Southwestern League rival Montrose. “The lanes were open for me to attack, so I just took it,” Delgado said.
