Labyrinth in the snow

After an early February snow, students at Animas Valley Elementary School’s after-school program created snow labyrinths at the school’s soccer field. The designs came into full view from the vantage point of a hot air balloon during the Snowdown Balloon Rally and Mass Ascension on Feb. 3. Cody Nicholreimer, the after-school program coordinator, led the students through the snow to create the labyrinth design. “I pick out a shape in my mind and follow it,” he said. “After I make the shape, the students have a fun time learning it.”
