Luck? Or just plain good?

Irish’s school-best 9-game win streak comes to a close
A slimmed-down Jack Cooley at 6-9 has become a major force inside – 11 double-doubles this season – for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and he could be the Big East’s most improved player.
Scott Martin, the lone starter from last year’s 27-7 Notre Dame team, provides leadership for a group that started the season 5-4 but rattled off a school-best nine-game win streak and now is 20-9.
Mike Brey led Notre Dame to a school-best nine-game winning streak, but the luck of the Irish ran out Saturday when St. John’s upset No. 20 Notre Dame 61-58 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
