I offer the following in response to the letter to the editor from Davitt M. Armstrong (Herald, Feb. 15).
In his letter, Armstrong states that no Republican candidate running for president of the United States is qualified.
Each of the Republican candidates, including those who have dropped out, has significant experience in either the private sector, public sector or both. They have led states, companies, the U.S. House of Representatives, the Olympics and have been successful in those pursuits. President Barack Hussein Obama has never done anything in the real world only academia. He has never held a real job, he has never hired a person, fired a person, acted as administrator for anything before he became Waffler in Chief. He has run up massive debt, failed to lead, cost million of jobs, failed to keep many of his promises, taken over private companies with taxpayer money and acted as king instead of president.
Any of the Republican candidates, including those who have dropped out, are more qualified. Sorry, but Armstrongs argument does not fly.
