Bobcats’ bid for their 4th Elite 8 in a row stalls in the 4th
Senior Shane Richmond staked the Bobcats to an early lead with 21 first-half points against Sanford on Saturday afternoon at Durango High School. Richmond finished his prep career with a game-high 30 points in Ignacio’s 61-53 loss.
Sophomore point guard Clayton Jefferson hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 points for the Bobcats. Sanford’s Josh Jarvies (21) scored 19 for the Indians.

Freshman Adison Jones led Ignacio with eight rebounds Saturday against Sanford, but the Indians’ pulled the ultimate rebound – a 22-2 fourth-quarter comeback to knock off the Bobcats and reach the elite eight in Pueblo.
