Skiers qualify for junior nationals

Durango Nordic racers head to Olympic venue
Engineer Mountain provided the dramatic backdrop recently for the Rocky Mountain Division Nordic ski races at the Nordic Center at Purgatory. More than 200 skiers from Colorado competed in the event to determine qualifiers to the Junior Nationals.
Camryn Sippy of the Durango Nordic Ski Club challenged the field at the junior qualifying races. Sippy competed in the J3 division.
Lily Oswald of Durango Nordic charged ahead during the junior Nordic races at the Nordic Center at Purgatory.
Kaylee Blevins of Durango Nordic qualified for the USSA Junior Nationals with her finishes at the qualifying races at Purgatory’s Nordic center. Blevins will join seven Durango Nordic teammates at nationals in Utah.
