All In The Poker Movie. A documentary that tries to explain the recent popularity of playing cards for keeps. Not rated, but probably not for kids.
Obselidia. A man wants to catalog vanishing objects before they become obsolete. He, accompanied by a silent-film projectionist, meets a doomsday-predicting scientist along the way. Theres more, but youll just have to see it.

Silent House.HH Filmed as one long, scary, uninterrupted shot, a girl is trapped alone inside a lake house where bad things happen. Rated R.
A Thousand Words.H½ Eddie Murphy is a fast-talker who finds a new tree in his yard. With every word he speaks the tree loses a leaf; when all the leaves are gone, so is Eddie. Rated PG-13.
Dr. Suess The Lorax. (No Ebert rating. In standard and digital 3-D with surcharge) Danny DeVito provides the voice of whatever kind of creature the Lorax is in this CGI spectacle. Rated PG.
Project X. (No Ebert rating) Some teens get in way over their heads with a party to end all parties. Shot in a documentary style. Rated R.
The Artist. HHHH Best picture, actor and three more Oscars cement this silent film as a neo-classic. Rated PG-13.
Act of Valor. HH½ Real Navy SEALs star in a dramatized rescue of a kidnapped CIA operative. Some may interpret this as a promotional film for the Armed Services, while others may think those people unpatriotic cynics. You decide. Rated R.
Wanderlust. (No Ebert rating) A Manhattan couple (Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd) must move and stumble upon a modern-day hippie commune on their journey south. Rated R.
This Means War.H½ Two CIA tough guys fall for the same girl (Reese Witherspoon) and use spy stuff to try to win her. Its a romantic comedy. Rated PG-13.
Safe House. (No Ebert rating) Denzel plays an ex-CIA guy who teams up with young Ryan Reynolds to figure out whos trying to kill them. Rated R.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.HHH Gary Oldman nails LeCarres George Smiley in this slick version of the classic spy flick. Good stuff. Rated R.
