Audio/visual sale to be at Durango Library
The Friends of the Durango Public Library will host an audio/visual sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Program Room 1 at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave. There will be books on tape, CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes. For more information, call 375-3380.
4cGLAD annual picnic to be held Saturday
The annual 4cGLAD (Four Corners Gay and Lesbian Alliance for Diversity) picnic will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Chris Park on Haviland Lake, 18 miles north of Durango on U.S. Highway 550.
Regular and veggie burgers, hot dogs and soda will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a side dish, alcoholic beverages and extra chairs. Dogs are allowed on a leash, and overnight RV or tent camping is permitted.

Dog rehabilitation seminar set for Thursday
A free seminar on the role of rehabilitation for today's active dog will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the La Plata County Humane Society, 1111 South Camino del Rio.
The seminar will cover topics such as how canine rehab can benefit, alternatives to drug therapy for arthritis, maintaining mobility, how to tell when a dog is in pain, how rehabilitation prolongs and improves a dog's life, keeping a dog fit and things to do to prevent injuries.
Light refreshments will be served. RSVP is appreciated but optional.

Garrison Keiller film to be shown
The Lavenia McCoy Public Library and KSUT Public Radio will present a screening of "Garrison Keillor: The Man on the Radio in the Red Shoes" at 6 p.m. Friday at 395 Bayfield Center Drive in Bayfield.
The film takes a look at the man behind "A Prairie Home Companion," a public radio show. There is a suggested donation of $10, which will be collected at the door.
