Durango Bach Festival is back at St. Mark’s

Weeklong event will start Sunday
Grace Wilmes, playing violin in the 2011 Bach Festival, will perform in the Student Recital at 2 p.m. Sunday. Katzin Music will host a reception for the students and audience after the concert.
Durango Bach Festival at a glance

The Durango Bach Festival will be held Sunday through March 24 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 910 East Third Ave. (Finale concert will be at St. Columba Catholic Church, 1830 East Second Ave.)
Sunday: Student recital, 2 p.m.
Monday-Friday: Bach’s Lunch, noon recitals followed by lunch catered by Carver Brewing Co. in the Parish Hall. ($5 recital; $8 lunch)
Wednesday: Extended Works featuring a Brandenburg Concerto, violin sonata with harpsichord accompaniment and solo flute partita, 7 p.m. ($15 adults/$5 children)
March 24: Festival Finale concert at St. Columba featuring a Brandenburg Concerto, organ concerto and Cantata 140 by the Durango Choral Society. ($15 adults/$5 children)
