San Juan College Planetarium will present its AstroFriday featuring “Space Basics!” at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Friday via Zoom.
This will be a virtual 20-minute video using graphics to answer several basic questions about spaceflight, such as, “How do spacecraft remain in orbit?” and “Why do astronauts float in space?”.
After the video for each presentation will be a short sky show, using Stellarium software to depict the night sky of mid- to late February.
To join the show, visit sanjuancollege-edu.zoom.us/j/99517095065 with meeting ID 995 1709 5065.
Any participants who are disruptive or vulgar will be permanently removed from the presentation. Once the presentation begins, a lock will be placed on the meeting.
If weather permits, a virtual stargaze will be offered using the same Zoom session from the Space Basics! planetarium show.
