Fly-fishing seminar to be held April 21
The San Juan Fly Fishing Federation will present a free fly-fishing seminar from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 21 at the Cottonwood Campgrounds south of Navajo Dam in northwestern New Mexico.
Program topics, to be presented in 20- to 30-minute blocks, will include: Equipment selection and use; San Juan River aquatic life, rigging and knots; Dry fly fishing and river reading; float tubing and safety; fishing with nymphs, jigs and fish handling; and hand-on casting and fly tying.
A New Mexico State Parks day pass is required for each vehicle and will be issue free for all seminar participants. There also will be free refreshments and door prizes.

Wednesday Wanderers to hike Horse Gulch
Seniors Outdoors! Wednesday Wanderers will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday for an easy hike at Horse Gulch. A limit of four dogs will be allowed off-leash.
