Day 2 at The Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. – A glance at Friday’s second round of the Masters at the 7,435-yard, par-72 Augusta National Golf Club.
Leading: Fred Couples, who shot 67, and Jason Dufner, who shot 70, are tied at 5-under 139.
Pursuing: Five players are a stroke back, including major winners Rory McIlroy and Louis Oosthuizen.
Where’s Tiger?: Tied for 40th with 6 others after shooting 75.
Shot of the day: Couples’ wedge from a fairway bunker on No. 3 spun back to within four feet of the flag to set up a birdie that jump-started his round.
Key stat: Charles Howell III, who’s three strokes off the lead, had the only bogey-free round of the day.
Noteworthy: A total of 63 players made the cut, the largest number since 1992.
Quoteworthy: “You’d never see me again. It would be a walkoff,” said Couples, who won his first green jacket in 1992, on his plans if he won a second at age 52.
