Fort Lewis College men’s club lacrosse coach Dan Riecks said two things stand in the way of his Skyhawks competing in the national tournament: A championship in next week’s Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference Tournament in Grand Junction and about $17,000 to make the trip to Greenville, S.C. “The biggest issue we always have with this program is cash,” Riecks said.

Grant Arthurs is one of 16 freshmen to join the Skyhawks’ lacrosse club this year. Head coach Dan Riecks said he has five true freshmen starting for a team which has brought a lot of unexpected raw talent to Fort Lewis College and has helped the program to a 10-3 record this year.
