April showers bring May flowers?

Out West in Los Angeles, they certainly hope so: It’s not raining but pouring on Pujols
Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen made early season headlines this April not because of his team’s play on the field but because he said he admired Fidel Castro, sparking anger amid a big Cuban community in South Florida.
Baseball’s biggest free agent splash this offseason barely made a ripple on the West Coast to start this MLB season. The former Cardinal turned Angel went homerless in April and has struggled to hit much of anything in Los Angeles.
Arguably the biggest April surprise this season was Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Philip Humber. He threw a perfect game against the Mariners in Seattle. “I don’t know what Philip Humber is doing in this list,” he said moments after his gem. “No idea what my name is doing there, but I’m thankful it’s there.”
