Integrated Physical Therapy announces hire
Integrated Physical Therapy announces the addition of Lindsey Hamrick.
Hamrick completed her undergraduate work at Oklahoma State University and received her doctorate of physical therapy from Texas Tech University. She is certified in trigger point dry needling and has experience in outpatient orthopaedic, neurological rehabilitation and pediatric physical therapy.

Chamber to host new member expo
The Durango Chamber of Commerce will host a New Member Expo American Idol Contest from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave.
New members will showcase their products and services while competing for advertising prize packages valued at more than $10,000.
The cost is $5 for chamber members and guests. Goodie bags will be given to the first 100 attendees.
Mercy acquires oncology practices
Mercy Regional Medical Center on Tuesday acquired Southwest Oncology, a medical oncology practice, and Durango Cancer Center, a radiation oncology practice.
In the acquisition, radiation oncologist Steven Bush; medical oncologists/hematologists Cynthia Cathcart, and Maureen Penny Cooper; and nurse practitioner Julie MacCluskey, will become hospital employees, along with 29 staff members from the two clinics. Dr. Jesse Hutt will continue to provide pediatric oncology/hematology services at Southwest Oncology.
Durango Cancer Center offers radiation therapy and follow-up care for cancer patients. Southwest Oncology provides medical treatment including chemotherapy, symptom management, nutrition counseling, genetic counseling and follow-up care to those who are newly diagnosed or who have been previously diagnosed with cancer. They also evaluate and manage patients with blood disorders.

KOA campground opens for the season
The Durango KOA Campground, 30090 U.S. Highway 160, is open for the season.
Campers can pick up a new 2012 50th Anniversary Edition of the KOA Directory free at any KOA campground. The directory is a complete travel atlas of every state and Canadian province and includes listings of each KOA campground as well as maps and directions to each location.

Grant-writing course to be held in Mancos
A Grant Writing 101 Workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 19 at the Mancos Valley Visitors Center, 101 E. Bauer St. in Mancos.
The cost is $35 and includes materials. This course is offered by Mancos Valley Resources, a community-based nonprofit.
