Tarpley RV in Durango will offer free liquid propane pressure drop tests from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at its location two miles south of Durango across from Walmart.
Anyone is welcome to bring their recreational vehicle and an industry-certified technician will test the propane system.

Family center to move to new location
The Durango Family Center will move to a new location next month at 129 East 32nd Ave., across the street from north City Market.
The new facility will allow for the continuation of programs that have served the community for more than 29 years. The La Plata Family Center Coalition provides direct support to families. In addition to helping families in need, it provides education and a referral source to programs within the coalition, and connections to other programs and agencies in the community.

Tyler Horn an employee with UltraStream has received his water damage certification from the CleanTrust and IICRC.
Horn attended a class focusing on the science of structural drying and psychrometrics, building on his experience dealing with water damage with UltraSteam. Also, he has passed a water-damage exam to become a CleanTrust certified water-damage restorer.
UltraSteam provides water and sewage damage mitigation and structural drying services, using green cleaning products and antimicrobials, as well as the latest in applied heat and dehumidification technology. The business has four certified water-damage technicians on staff.

Author to speak at chamber breakfast
Best-selling author Tommy Spaulding will speak at the Durango Chamber of Commerce breakfast at 8 a.m. May 22 at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.

Fox Fire Farms opens winery, tasting room
Fox Fire Farms, a certified organic farm and vineyard, located 30 miles southeast of Durango as part of a 1,100-acre organic farm, announces the opening of its new winery and wine-tasting room on May 1.
Fox Fire Farms has been constructing a new winery and wine-tasting room for the past year. The new buildings are located at the same location, 5513 County Road 321, Ignacio.

Keller Williams Realty will help spring cleanup
Keller Williams Realty Southwest Associates will participate in the third annual RED Day by volunteering with the city of Durango from 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday.
RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, is a collective service initiative where the company’s associates donate time on the same day to give back to the community. The Keller Williams crew will remove trash and graffiti along Florida Road from East Third Avenue to Colorado Drive and along Rim Drive from Chapman to the Lion’s Den.
