Marcus Sansoni, who hit one of his two home runs this year on Senior Day, will put his .333 batting average on the line with his teammates Saturday against No. 28 Delta in the first round of the CHSAA Class 4A Boys Baseball State Championships. “We’re pretty confident as a team,” he said. “We feel we’ve got what it takes to win (districts).”
Durango High School’s sixth-year head coach Rob Coddington will lead his Demons into the four-team District 4 tournament as the No. 5 seed in the Class 4A state playoffs. First up: No. 28 Delta at 10 a.m. today. “We absolutely aren’t overlooking Delta,” Coddington said. “We learned that lesson last year.”
