Library to offer business programs
The Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave., will celebrate National Small Business Week from today to Saturday with these activities:
Information about services Durangos business assistance agencies offer entrepreneurs will be given from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The lecture Marketing in Troubles Times by Fort Lewis College professor Simon Walls will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
A panel discussion called Business in Durango will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The panel will have five local business owners, each representing a different market segment, who will discuss their challenges and successes and answer questions. Refreshments will be served.

Workshop to focus on working with government
The Small Business Development Center at Fort Lewis College will host a workshop called Strategize Your Market: Learn Which Federal and State Agencies Buy Your Products/Services from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday in Room 130 of the Education Business Hall at FLC.
The workshop is for businesses that do or would like to do business with the government. Experts will offer perspective and guidance on the past, present and future of working with the government.

Marketing discussion to be held Wednesday
The Durango Chamber of Commerce May Lunch & Learn will be 151+ Ways to Grow & Market Your Business at noon Wednesday at the First National Bank of Durango, 259 W. Ninth St.
The cost is $7 for chamber members and $14 for nonmembers. The program will offer marketing ideas. Reservations are required.
