Art Supply House has new ownership
Art Supply House and Custom Framing, 24B Town Plaza, announces new owners Don Corbeil and Kathryn Garrou.
The art-supply store and custom frame shop were two separate businesses at separate locations but now are consolidated into one store to offer one-stop artist and framing services. The professional art supplier and custom framing business is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Keller Williams Realty receives recognition
Keller Williams Realty Inc., the franchisor of the local Keller Williams Realty Southwest Associates, was recognized as one of Americas Top 10 Workplaces, according to the first annual National Top Workplaces list compiled by Workplace Dynamics.
The list is based on employee feedback surveyed from 805 companies of more than 1,000 employees, which included more than half a million survey responses.
According to survey results, Keller Williams ranking was based on its overall culture and high levels of organizational health, including training, benefits, compensation and work-life balance.

National economist to appear June 15
Eggs and Elliot is the title of the Durango Chamber of Commerces Eggs & Issues Breakfast, which will be held at 8 a.m. June 15 at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.
National economist Elliot Eisenberg will give a presentation on the national economy and discussion of the current economic conditions. The cost is $14 for chamber members and $20 for nonmembers. Reservations are required.

Insurance, financial advisers will meet
The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Southwestern Colorado will meet at noon Wednesday at Durango Doughworks, 2653 N. Main Ave.
The guest speaker will be David S. McAlvany, president and CEO of the McAlvany Financial Companies. His presentation will be on precious metals. Lunch will be served, and prospective members are invited. There is a $20 fee for nonmembers which will include lunch.
