Eckmann wins the time trial; Wilson wins the overall omnium
Robin Eckmann of Boulder and the California Giant/Specialized team won Monday’s Iron Horse time trial on East Animas Road. The 19-year-old finished third in the omnium.
Men’s pro omnium winner Nate Wilson of Boulder, age 21, wrapped up his weekend with a runner-up finish in the time trial Monday. Teammate Robin Eckmann won the time trial.
Two-time defending Iron Horse omnium winner Greg Krause of Littleton pedaled to a fifth-place finish in the time trial Monday, surrendering his IHBC crown to Nate Wilson of Boulder. Krause’s wife, Lindsay, won the 10-mile Narrow Gauge run Sunday in Durango.
Eighteen-year-old Jeff Perrin of Boulder rode to a third-place finish in the pro men’s Iron Horse time trial Monday. Perrin rides for Juwi Solar.
