“I’m just trying to get these girls the opportunity for lacrosse to affect their lives like it has for me because it’s such an awesome sport,” said Kelsey MacDonald, Durango Youth Lacrosse founder and Fort Lewis College women’s lacrosse head coach.

Alyssa Montoya, 17, daughter of Richard and Victoria Montoya, is looking forward to Vail in July for the fledgling Durango Lacrosse youth girls U19 team’s inaugural tournament, the Vail Shootout. “In order to play in college, you need to be seen at the Vail Shootout or some tournaments in California or on the East Coast,” coach Kelsey MacDonald said.
