Federer, meet fan, foe and ‘lucky loser’

21-year-old David Goffin takes on his childhood hero in Round 4
Switzerland’s Roger Federer won his 235th Grand Slam match in Round 3 of the French Open but now he’s got a different sort of challenge: 21-year-old Federer-fan David Goffin, who’s unbeaten in Grand Slam main-draw matches at 3-0. “Since I was little, I’ve watched Roger play on TV. To me, he plays almost perfect tennis. His technique is perfect. I also like him at the human level; he’s a very good person on and off the court,” Goffin said. “I expect a very tough match on Sunday, of course. I don’t really know how I’ll prepare for it, but I’ll try to have fun.”
Belarus’ Victoria Azarenka, the top-seeded woman at the French Open, barely beat the sunset as she beat Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada 6-4, 6-4 on Friday.
