On May 14, our family had a terrible loss. My 39-year-old brother passed from pancreatic cancer after a five-month battle that was most emotionally straining. He has three teenage children - ages 15, and 13-year-old twins. On June 4, their little family dog was attacked and killed by neighbor dogs, and the next day, his youngest son's bike was stolen out of our backyard.
This prompted the family to post a "missing bike" flier. A family from your area saw it, and called us to say how sad it was and helped to get Chris a new bike. They were so kind, and I am just writing to thank them and say how nice it is to see caring people - even strangers - reach out to others. It is still all very new and the bike has still not been returned, but the best thing is there are such wonderful people who do care and are willing to say so. Many thanks to the Harris family!
