Outman gives up 5 in 3 innings
The Rockies’ Josh Outman gave up five runs in three innings as the Arizona Diamondbacks smacked a 11 hits in their 6-1 win over Colorado on Wednesday. “I didn’t execute the game plan,” Outman said. “When I got ahead I didn’t keep the ball down. You name it, I pretty much did it wrong tonight.”
Gerardo Parra and the Arizona Diamondbacks have stolen the Rockies’ thunder as well as their bases. The Rockies had won seven of their last eight before losing to the Diamondbacks 10-0 on Tuesday and 6-1 on Wednesday as Colorado’s pitching woes resurfaced.

The Diamondbacks selected manager Kirk Gibson’s son, Cam Gibson, in the 38th round of the draft, but he will play baseball at Michigan State instead of joining his father’s organization. ...
