Russian advances to French Open final
Maria Sharapova moved within one match of completing her own grand slam – winning all four major tournaments – by making quick work of Petra Kvitova 6-3, 6-3 in Thursday’s French Open semifinal.
Before the French Open, Sara Errani was 0-28 against opponents in the top 10. Now she’s defeated No. 10 Angelique Kerber and No. 6 Sam Stosur to vault into the top 10 herself and into the French Open final.
