For the summer edition, themed “Sport,” Arts Perspective magazine publisher Denise Leslie received rare permission to publish LeRoy Neiman’s rendition of the 1984 Summer Olympics opening ceremonies in Los Angeles. Contributing writer Stew Mosberg interviewed Neiman, who turns 91 today, for the summer issue. Arts Perspective is a free quarterly publication distributed throughout the Four Corners region. Neiman’s memoir, All Told: My Art and Life Among Athletes, Playboys, Bunnies, and Provocateurs, was released earlier this month.
